The "City of Design," Brasilia City, is situated in the highlands of Brazil's central west. It was officially announced as a Creative Cities Network member due to its buildings' distinctive modern architectural designs. The Historical Museum of Brasilia, Panteão da Liberdade, Palacio dos Arcos, and the Mastro da Bandeira are all located on the Square of the Three Powers. The three Brazilian government buildings surrounding the square are the National Congress, the Supreme Court, and Palácio does Planalto, which serves as the President of Brazil's official residence. The Catedral Metropolitana Nossa Senhora Aparecida, with its pitchfork-shaped tower housing the church bells, looks like a white shuttlecock. A massive memorial known as Praça does Cruzeiro was constructed in memory of the late President Kubitschek as a tribute to the city's founder. Another stunning piece of Eastern architecture is the steel Ponte Juscelino Kubitschek bridge, with its three eye-catching massive arches. You can also visit the São João Bosco Church, which features blue windows and lofty pointed arches. Spend some time exploring Brasilia National Park for a relaxing pit stop. Reserve a spot at the Brasilia TV Tower for an excellent panoramic view of the Monumental Axis. The igloo-shaped Memorial dos Povos Indigenas, or Museum of Indigenous People, is the ideal location to visit if you want to learn more about Brasilia's history, culture, traditions, and indigenous people. The outside is stunning, but the inside is entirely captivating. ◄
