South Africa is one of the most touristic countries on the African continent, due to its reputation for its great animal diversity and varied landscapes. Cape Town is one of the most coveted destinations in the country. To the south of the peninsula, on the side of the Cape of Good Hope, there is an animal reserve where you can cross baboons, elk or zebras. Near Port Elizabeth, rhinos or buffaloes can be seen in Addo Elephant National Park. Combined with the marine reserve, it is the only park to host the Big 7, a group represented by seven large animals on the planet. Located at an altitude of 1,800 metres, Johannesburg, a city rich in history, has been able to modernize over the years. The Apartheid Museum tells the story of the struggle for racial equality. Next door, the Soweto district, where Nelson Mandela was born in 1918, is the symbol of this struggle. Today, tour guides tell the story while walking through the surrounding streets. In the Mpumalanga region is the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world with a depth of 25 kilometres and 750 metres. Signposted hiking trails make it easy to explore this treasure of nature. In the north-east of the country, the large Kruger National Park allows you to observe the wildlife of many mammals that live in freedom there. ◄
