Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha

The most important of the approximately 1,300 Sengen shrines in Japan, this grand Shinto shrine sits at the base of Mount Fuji and is dedicated to the goddess Konohanasakuya-hime. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site component and serves as the spiritual gateway to Mount Fuji.
