"Ici fut planté l'arbre de paix" is a commemorative concert-event presented at Théâtre Outremont on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 19:30, under the artistic direction of Alexandre Ethier.
The programme marks the 325th anniversary of the Great Peace of Montreal, a landmark 1701 peace agreement, through a blend of music, song and poetry that weaves together Indigenous and Quebec voices across time.
The lineup brings together an exceptional array of artists: Ensemble de guitares Forestare, Richard Desjardins, Joséphine Bacon, Jacques Newashish, Andrée Lévesque Sioui, Marianne Lambert, and others.
