Rythme sans frontières : De Bach à Buenos Aires - Orchestre Classique de Montréal (Classical Concert)

The Orchestre Classique de Montréal presents Rythme sans frontières : De Bach à Buenos Aires, an evening-length programme that traces the spirit of dance across four centuries of music — from the baroque suites of J. S. Bach to the passionate tangos of Astor Piazzolla.

Highlighting the night is the world premiere of Le Retour des loups, suite n° 2, a new work by celebrated Canadian composer Maxime Goulet. The programme also features La Cumparsita by G. M. Rodriguez, Bach's Suite pour orchestre no. 1 (BWV 1066), Piazzolla's Tres piezas per orquestra da camera and Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas (arr. L. Desyatnykov), and the beloved Besame mucho by C. Velázquez (arr. T. Graf).

Violin soloist Bénédicte Lauzière and the dance company Corazon de Tango join the orchestra on stage, blending virtuoso playing with live dance in an evening that bridges classical tradition and contemporary creation. The ensemble is conducted by Andrei Feher.

The concert takes place at Salle Pierre-Mercure on March 11 at 19:30 and runs approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, including an intermission.
