Méandre launches their debut album 'Vagabonde' at Le Verre Bouteille in Montreal on September 29, 2026. Doors open at 20:00 and the show begins at 20:30, with an opening act still to be announced.
Formed barely a year ago, Méandre crafts gentle, poetic ballads inspired by everyday life, bicycle rides and a wandering spirit. Their folk-pop sound centres on acoustic instrumentation, with violin, double bass and guitar at its core. The four members are Rachel Lang (guitar and vocals), Florence Labelle (violin and backing vocals), Oscar Robertson (double bass) and Cédric Brochu (drums).
Their debut album 'Vagabonde' contains 10 songs and features an expanded cast of musicians across string quartet arrangements and a brass quintet, with additional mandolin, clarinet and electric guitar. The record was produced independently with Nathan Desmarais handling recording, mixing and mastering. The album was released on September 1, 2026.
