Lake Malawi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, straddling three countries, Tanzania, Mozambique, and Malawi. The Lake has a long shape of 580 km, so it is possible to visit several places from north to south and vice versa. To the south, in the UNESCO-listed Lake Malawi National Park, you can discover Cape Maclear, Mumbo and Domwe islands, and Monkey Bay, one of the main ports of Lake Malawi. In Chipoka, you will have the opportunity to take a boat or ferry and go on an excursion to the Lake. Further north is Chintheche and Nkhata Bay, prevalent for their fishing village, the surrounding tranquility, and some of the most beautiful beaches on the Lake. The islands Likoma and Chizumulu, the two main islands of the Lake located to the east, are worth visiting.
