Bagan
Nestled in the hills and out of town, Bagan's Pagoda is a world of wonders on its own and definitely worth a visit if you are travelling in Myanmar.
Bagan is located in central Myanmar (formerly Burma) and is known mainly for its ancient temples, many of which date back to the 11th and 12th centuries. The archaeological area of Bagan lies on the banks of the Irrawaddy, Myanmar's largest river. Thousands of Buddhist monuments were erected during the Pagan kingdom, now known as modern Myanmar.
