Created by Jennie Butchart and still owned and operated by the family, they were designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004. The city of Victoria, the province's capital, has Beacon Hill Park, considered the jewel. The Pacific Rim Reserve is located in the southwest of the island on the coast, the beaches of Chesterman Beach, Cox Bay and Long Beach are famous beaches with surfing enthusiasts and professionals.
If you plan to visit the province in winter and consider skiing, snowboarding or skating, these three places are for you. Whistler Blackcomb, the famous ski resort that hosted the 2010 Olympic Games in the municipality of Whistler, opened in 1966, is the largest ski resort in North America. Next is Revelstoke Mountain Resort, outside the city of Revelstoke. Let's finish with Big White Ski Resort, which is the second-largest ski resort in the province.

For visits to museums, historic sites and buildings, head to Victoria with Government Street, the main road that provides access to major tourist sites. First, The Royal BC Museum, founded in 1886, has three galleries: the modern, natural history of the province and that of First Nations. The other museum, Miniature World, has the world's two large dolls and 85 pieces of miniature art. To continue, the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia allows visitors to appreciate its beautiful infrastructure. The same goes for the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia (Janet Austin) residence, offering guided tours from May to September of Government House. Finally, the 4-star hotel in Fairmont Empress, with 464 perfectly appointed rooms. Continue your tour of the art gallery, Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. Take advantage of the city's Chinatown, designated as a National Historic Site of Canada, it is the oldest in the country and has significant heritage value. In the city of Nanaimo, there is the historical monument, The Bastion, built in 1853. This building is the oldest freestanding fort in North America and the most legendary monument. The Tofino-Clayoquot Heritage Museum with its artifacts and archives, tells the story of Clayoquot Bay and Tofino City, then the House of Himwitsa Art Gallery, where you can see sculptures made by indigenous people. Kamloops Museum and Archives is considered one of the oldest museums in the city and province and has over 20,000 artifacts and the Kamloops Heritage Railway Museum. As for Vancouver, there is Gastown Steam Clock. Built in 1977, this famous Victorian-style clock works on its steam power supply and whistles to indicate the time, and the Science World Science Museum, also built in the same year, presents temporary and permanent exhibitions and the Heritage Museum, Museum of Anthropology in 1947 of the University of British Columbia exhibits a collection of artifacts and works belonging to Indigenous peoples. The province organizes several events and festivities, Canada Place in Vancouver is a symbolic monument that hosts world events, as well as allows you to experience some Canadian festivals, such as the Sails of Light, the celebration of Canada Day or Christmas.
The Okanagan Valley is known for being the region with many vineyards and wineries. Kelowna is home to the famous Mission Hill Winery. The town of Oliver, considered the wine capital of Canada, has Phantom Creek Estates and Kamloops has the famous Monte Creek Winery.
