Thanks to its exceptional geothermal phenomena, Haukadalur valley is home to many breathtaking geysers. You can admire the eruptions of Strokkur. This geyser is one of the most famous in the country. Very active, it erupts, every 5 to 10 minutes, columns of boiling water and steam to a height of over 15 meters. You also have the opportunity to see the Great Geysir. The latter is renowned for having given its name to the term geyser.
Haukadalur is also a paradise for vacationers. This valley is home to hot springs suitable for relaxation, such as Laugarvatn and Secret Lagoon.
