Many ancient objects are displayed there, showing dinosaur bones and handmade objects by the inhabitants.
Another important historical site is the Zhaojun Mausoleum. She was a famous woman whose tombstone this is, her name being Zhaojun and being a concubine of the emperor who was married to a Xiongnu chief, thus creating peace between the two tribes; it is also revealing of the appearance of ancient Chinese architecture.
The Hadamen National Forest Park is a place not to be missed, there are several picnic spots as well as a pretty lake where boat rides are even planned.
For enthusiasts of traditional Mongolian culture, the village of Saishang Old Town could be an appropriate destination. It is an open-air museum. Here you will see traditional Mongolian houses called yurts. There are also dance performances. You could get souvenirs made by local artisans.
