Kidepo National Park

Located on the border between Uganda and South Sudan, Kidepo Valley is one of the major national parks in Uganda's Kaabong district. Created by the British in 1958, it was a hunting reserve until the country's independence in 1962.

Located on the border between Uganda and South Sudan, Kidepo Valley is one of the major national parks in Uganda's Kaabong district. Created by the British in 1958, it was a hunting reserve until the country's independence in 1962.
With an area of 1,442 km², this protected area is very little affected by mass tourism thanks to its difficult access. This isolation has allowed several plants and animals to thrive without much difficulty. Predators not found in almost all of Uganda, such as bat-eared foxes, caracal foxes, cheetahs, and aardwolves, can also be encountered here. Birds such as the black-breasted Barbican and the golden pipit can also be spotted here with some luck.
Kidepo Valley National Park is a true paradise for nature lovers. Its breathtaking landscapes, green plains, and rugged mountains make it a dream setting for exceptional photos.
