Ready, Set, Go! Sports Inspire Art is a self-guided trail through the pavilions of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA), drawing on works from the permanent collection that connect to the world of sport. The trail spans a wide range of periods and geographic origins, offering visitors a cross-cultural perspective on how sport has inspired artistic creation.
QR codes placed throughout the trail link to a complete list of selected works and provide family-friendly texts written for younger audiences, making the exhibition accessible to visitors of all ages.
The exhibition is part of a broader joint summer programme developed in partnership with the MEM โ Centre des mรฉmoires montrรฉalaises, the Bibliothรจque et Archives nationales du Quรฉbec, and the McCord Stewart Museum, all marking the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Montreal Olympics.
The wider programme encompasses exhibitions, discovery trails, film screenings, and talks across multiple venues. It also includes a summer mural on Avenue du Musรฉe, which will be pedestrianized from July 8 to September 6, 2026.
