Slovenia has more than 40 ski resorts, the main ones focusing on the entire northern part of the country. In the Podravska region to the northeast, Maribor Pohorje is the largest ski resort. In the Savinjska region, you can ski in Rogla, renowned for snowboarding and freestyle thanks to its course of more than 15 obstacles. One hour from Rogla is Golte, with its mountain rising to a maximum altitude of 1,600 meters. It is accessible to skiers of all levels. In the Gorenjska region, one can find a wide choice of resorts. Krvavec is 10 km away from Ljubljana International Airport. Located in the Triglav National Park, the resort of Vogel offers beautiful panoramas. Skiers will find what they are looking for in Kranjska Gora, which has already hosted the Alpine Ski World Cup, one of the largest ski resorts in Slovenia. Two very famous ski resorts are northwest of the Goriška region. One is the highest resort with the longest slopes (Kanin Sella Nevea), and the other is the newest infrastructure (Cerkno). ◄
