For the opening symphonic concert of the season, the Opéra Orchestre National Montpellier Occitanie takes up residence in the singular setting of the Théâtre de l'Agora at the heart of the Cité Internationale de la Danse. The programme opens with a surprising Vivaldi — his Concerto for Two Cellos RV 531, reimagined for cello and bassoon — followed by Mendelssohn's fairy-tale overture The Fair Melusina.
Ravel's Menuet antique revives the elegance of a bygone era, while Debussy's Nuages suspends the sky in luminous grey. The evening culminates with Mozart's Haffner Symphony, bursting with lively fanfares and stately dances.
Duration: approximately 1 hour without intermission. Admission: flat rate of €16. Note: this performance is listed as sold out (Complet).
