The Stax Museum Of American Soul Music was known as the legendary Stax Records, a record label dedicated to soul music. Founded in 1960 by Jim Stewart and his sister Estelle Axton, it is a unique place that traces both the history of soul and the former Stax Records label. Located south of Memphis, Tennessee, the museum contains collections related to soul music. There are gold records, costumes of soul stars and even The Cadillac of Isaac Hayes.
