A study concert is an open, student-led evening, and this one brings the guitar to the fore. Students of guitarist Jesper Sivebæk perform at the New Hall of the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the institution's concert space in Frederiksberg, a leafy district just west of central Copenhagen.
What to expect
The event is a concert in the Academy's own hall, so the emphasis is on the playing itself rather than on a staged production. Study concerts of this kind let audiences hear young musicians at work in the setting where they train, and they suit visitors who enjoy classical guitar or who want a quiet, unpretentious evening out in the city. The programme has not yet been announced, so the exact repertoire is best checked on the event page before you go.
