Myers, it was built between 1882 and 1888 under the direction of engineer Reuben Lindsay Walker. The second site is in San Antonio, located southwest of the capital. It is home to San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, a national historic park, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995 and preserves four Spanish missions. Catholic clerics established these missions to spread Christianity among the local natives. The Alamo, or Mission of San Antonio de Valero in the historic district of Alamo Plaza, is the fifth mission and a fort used during the Texas Revolution.
Next is the Zilker Metropolitan Park, Austin's most admired. Established in 1914, Hermann Park in Houston is an urban park where you can admire Mary Gibbs and Jesse H. Jones Reflection Pool and the Pioneer Memorial Obelisk, erected by the San Jacinto Centennial Association and inaugurated on August 30, 1936. But also a pond in a garden with a Japanese style. Many cultural institutions exist, such as the Miller Outdoor Theatre, the Houston Museum of Natural Science and Hermann Park Golf Course. The San Antonio River Walk is a municipal park. During the Fiesta San Antonio, which takes place every spring, the River Parade features flowered floats floating on the river. The Zilker Botanical Garden was built in the park of the same name in 1955. It houses 45 million pages of historical documents, including those of President Johnson and his close associates. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is an art museum that was established in 1900 and contains approximately 70,000 works of art, including paintings from the Italian Renaissance, French Impressionism, photography, American and European decorative arts, African and pre-Columbian gold, American art, as well as postwar European and American paintings and sculptures. The collection also includes African-American art and Texas painting. Founded in 1903, the Dallas Museum of Art brings together more than 24,000 objects dating back to the third millennium BC. to the present day from all over the world. It is known for its dynamic exhibition policy and educational programs. Houston has the famous Space Center, Houston, a science museum that opened in 1992. The center has more than 400 space objects. It is home to the Independence Plaza exhibition complex. This attraction contains the only replica of Space Shuttle Independence, atop the NASA 905 shuttle aircraft that has been decommissioned. It is also the only place where the public can board both vehicles.
