The Sound of Dogs runs October 1 to 10, 2026 at Centaur Theatre as part of the Centaur+ programming strand. Written by Jennifer Roberts and co-directed by Micheline Chevrier and Pamela Witcher, the production is a collaboration between Imago Theatre and The Sound of Dogs Collective.
The piece is performed in a blend of American Sign Language, spoken English and open captions. At its heart is a hearing child of Deaf parents who shares personal stories that explore Deaf culture, identity and the spaces between two worlds, weaving together sign language, spoken word and movement.
