Zadar is a charming port city of Croatia located in northern Dalmatia. Thanks to its three thousand years of history and exceptional cultural heritage, it has become one of the country's major attractions.
Zadar is home to ancient monuments like the Sveta Stosija Cathedral. This building, dating from the thirteenth century, is one of Zadar's architectural jewels. In Romanesque style, it fascinates with its façade, which is reminiscent of Tuscan architecture. It houses the relics of Saint Anastasia and very sumptuous period furniture. With its many remains, the Roman Forum of Zadar is also a monument in the city center.
Zadar also owes its fame to its beautiful beaches. Kolovare is one of the most accessible beaches in the city. Its turquoise waters, small restaurants and tranquility make it perfect for swimming and relaxing under the sun. The Zlatni Val beach, with its many water activities, also has surprises.
