This mural by Annie Hamel stands at 440 avenue Ball in Montreal, in the borough of Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension. It was created in 2010 as part of the city's Programme graffitis et murales, run by MU, an organisation that works with artists to bring murals into neighbourhood streets.
What to expect
This is a street-art stop rather than a museum visit. You come to see the wall itself, in its setting on an everyday Montreal street, and to take a few minutes to look at the work up close and from a distance.
Getting there and around
- Address: 440, avenue Ball, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
- Neighbourhood: Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension, a mixed residential and commercial part of the city
- Combine it with a walk through the surrounding streets to see more of the borough's daily life
Good to know before you go
The mural is an outdoor work, so it is open to view at any time. If you want more detail about the piece, the City of Montreal publishes a record for it, which is listed on the city's murals pages and can be found through its website.
