Nézet-Séguin et Eberle : Extase Romantique - Veronika Eberle & Orchestre Métropolitain

Yannick Nézet-Séguin reunites with the Orchestre Métropolitain and returns to the Festival de Lanaudière for an evening of high Romantic intensity. The programme pairs two cornerstone works of the 19th-century repertoire: Beethoven's luminous Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61, and Tchaikovsky's turbulent Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64.

Veronika Eberle is the featured soloist for the Beethoven, making her return to the Festival de Lanaudière. The concert is described as a straight-line journey between two shining stars of the musical firmament, contrasting Beethoven's serenity with the passionate tumult and pathos of Tchaikovsky.

The performance takes place at the open-air Amphithéâtre Fernand-Lindsay in the city of Joliette. There is one representation, starting at 16:00. Duration is approximately 2 hours with intermission.

Ticket prices range from $35 to $165 (taxes and fees included). The event is produced and presented by the Festival de Lanaudière.
