Tyngde is a solo performance piece centred on a zest for life and optimism when confronted with hardship. Working from a place of introversion, physical vulnerability and care for the natural world, the piece proposes a new way of reinventing punk's countercultural ideals.
On stage, the performer listens inward in contrast to the intense sound of a punk band. Within this tension, a longing for love and for a companion to share life with comes to the surface. In her search for safety and belonging, the protagonist finds sanctuary in the world of plants.
