Le Design selon Pierre Paulin (1927-2009)

Pierre Paulin (1927–2009) was one of the most influential French designers of the 20th century, helping shape modern design in postwar France. Renowned for iconic creations such as the Mushroom Chair, Ribbon Chair, and Tongue Chair, he combined innovation, comfort, and bold forms that reflected the cultural changes of the 1950s and 1960s.

Over a career spanning five decades, Paulin designed furniture, industrial products, public spaces, and even the private apartments of the French presidency at the Élysée Palace. His work, celebrated internationally and featured in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), remains a symbol of modernity and demonstrates his belief that design should serve the public.
