This large mural by the artist VHILS stands at 767 rue Bélanger, on a street in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough of Montreal, Canada. It was completed in 2017 and is one of the city's public artworks listed among its murals.
The piece was produced by AGC Art Public, working with Artgang, under the city's mural art programme (volet 1). The programme was funded through the Entente sur le développement culturel de Montréal, an agreement that supports cultural projects across the city. The mural is also known locally as "Murale située au 767, rue Bélanger."
What to expect
- A street-art visit, best made on foot as you walk the surrounding blocks of the neighbourhood.
- A work by a well-known contemporary street artist, set in a residential and commercial area rather than a museum.
- A short stop that pairs well with a wider walk through Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.
Planning your visit
The mural is an outdoor work, so it can be seen at any time, and the street is an easy place to stroll. For more details about the artwork, the City of Montreal publishes an information page for the mural, which you can find on the city's public murals website.
