EXPรRIENCE 1 is a free outdoor evening at Esplanade Tranquille, presented as part of MUTEK Montrรฉal 2026. The programme spans a range of electronic and experimental sounds including ambient, techno, bass music and hybrid electronic forms.
Montrรฉal-based saxophonist, vocalist and producer Ida Toninato (FR/QC) brings her immersive, resonance-driven approach to performance, presenting a live set of her piece "House of Love". Her most recent release is "Lions on the Run" (2025), which sits at the intersection of electro, experimental and IDM.
Toronto duo Pick a Piper (Brad Weber & Sophia Alexandra) perform music from their 2026 album "Dandelion", weaving together ethereal vocals, warm synthesizers and percussion in a bass- and garage-influenced IDM style.
The evening closes with a surprise DJ set, adding a dancefloor dimension to the showcase. Admission is free.
