La Traviata - Orchestre Philharmonique et Chœur des Mélomanes (Opera Concert)

Verdi's beloved opera La Traviata is presented in a concert format across two evenings at the Maison symphonique. Set in 19th-century Paris, the work follows the tragic love story of Violetta Valéry and Alfredo, unfolding against a backdrop of rigid social convention. The programme includes some of the opera's most celebrated moments, among them Sempre libera and the famous drinking song Libiamo ne' lieti calici.

The Orchestre Philharmonique et Chœur des Mélomanes performs under the baton of conductor Francis Choinière. The cast is led by soprano Nino Machaidze as Violetta, tenor Piotr Buszewski as Alfredo, and baritone Gregory Dahl as Germont. Further roles are taken by Alex Halliday (Grenvil), Ariane Cossette (Annina), Simona Genga (Flora), Sam Champagne (Gastone & Giuseppe), and Geoffrey Schellenberg (Baron Douphol).

The production runs approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes including an interval. The opera is performed in Italian. Both performances begin at 19:30.

Tickets are priced from $79.90 to $149.52, taxes and fees included. Subscription packages are also available.
