Eure

Eure is a department in the Normandy region of northern France, created in 1790 and named after the Eure River that flows through it. The department is known for its picturesque countryside, historic châteaux, and charming market towns like Évreux (the prefecture) and Vernon. It features a mix of agricultural landscapes, forests, and cultural attractions, including proximity to Giverny where Claude Monet lived and painted his famous water lily series.
