Les Charbonniers de l'enfer — Michel Bordeleau, Michel Faubert, André Marchand, and Normand Miron — mark more than thirty years of joyfully championing Québec's traditional vocal repertoire with this special production, 'F-I FI, N-I NI!'. The show is framed as a final journey through the world they have inhabited for three decades: singing in unison and in harmony, keeping time with the tapping foot.
The production carries both celebration and reflection. The group acknowledges the deep sorrow of losing their beloved colleague Jean-Claude, known as Rossignolet des bois, while choosing to meet the moment with joy and generosity. The staging is shaped by the artistic eye of director and artist Émile Proulx-Cloutier.
Performances take place at Cinquième Salle on Wednesday, December 2 and Thursday, December 3, 2026, both starting at 20:00. This two-night run represents a rare opportunity to witness these four 'charbonniers' on stage together in what is billed as a farewell production.
