Every Tuesday evening throughout the summer, Mistica Salsa Academy brings together a multi-school collaboration of Montpellier's favourite salsa teachers for a free outdoor salsa experience on the terrace of Restaurant L'Atmosphère, beside the Bassin Jacques Cœur in the Port Marianne district.
The evening is structured in two parts: a beginner-friendly, progressive salsa class runs from 20:30 to 21:30, followed by an open salsa night from 21:30 onwards. Styles covered include Cuban Salsa, Colombian Salsa, Rueda and Mambo.
Each Tuesday features a guest instructor joining the Mistica team. For July, the guest roster includes Floppy, Angel, Gilbert, Cathy and Coya, alongside the resident Mistica team led by Jeremy Martinez. Further surprises are promised for the weeks ahead.
The event is entirely free — both the class and the evening. Attendees are warmly encouraged to purchase at least one drink or the special tapas-and-drink formula offered by the restaurant, as this sponsorship is what makes the free format possible throughout the summer.
