Vortex Montréal

Vortex Montréal is an immersive entertainment destination built around a simple, thrilling formula: one hour, one team, one mission. At its heart are live escape rooms — sophisticated, richly themed adventures that play like a treasure hunt reinvented for ages 8 to 99. You and your group are locked into a decisive objective with 60 minutes on the clock, and while the venue's game masters keep watch and whisper hints at just the right moments, they make no promises about your victory. Warm, lively, and welcoming, Vortex is made for families, groups of friends, and office teams alike — anyone ready to put their heads together and race the countdown.

Three distinct escape rooms set the scene, each with its own world and tone. La Prophétie du Dragon (2–6 players) is a medieval fantasy of magic and dragons: summoned to the kingdom of Anka by the enchantress Oriana, you must uncover the source of King Aiden's descent into tyranny — a trail that begins in the castle cellars and leads to his jealous twin, Mérové. Le Crépuscule (2–6 players) trades magic for tension and dread: stranded in the woods in the summer of 1969, you stumble on a cabin full of discarded vials and strange lab equipment belonging to a vanished doctor of forbidden experiments — and as night falls and a growl grows louder, your only hope of survival is to call for a helicopter. And Blackout (4–8 players) is a cooperative apocalypse thriller in which you, the country's best biologists, must complete the serum that will bring life back to Earth before your bunker loses power for good — a mission that splits your group into two teams across two rooms for much of the hour (and requires at least two adults). All three run 60 minutes, in French and English.

Beyond the escape rooms, Vortex has added an electrifying new attraction: Spy Game, billed as the secret training ground where the Vortex's agents prove themselves before being sent on a mission. It's an immersive, interactive play zone built on a motion-sensitive light-up floor, where every step, jump, and movement triggers a reaction underfoot. Across a series of short, intense challenges — testing speed, strategy, coordination, and endurance — players chase high scores to pulsing music and spectacular light effects, in an atmosphere straight out of a spy film. Accessible to all but tricky to master, the rounds are fast, fun, and endlessly replayable, welcoming 2 to 6 players per session for 60 minutes, recommended from age 7, in French and English, at around CA$15 per person (taxes extra) with a drink included.

A one-of-a-kind concept in Montréal, Spy Game rounds out an experience that's 100% Vortex — adrenaline, immersion, and pure fun. Whether you're cracking codes against the clock in a beautifully staged escape room or lighting up the grid in a sweat-and-laughter sprint through Spy Game, Vortex Montréal delivers a genuinely memorable outing for friends, colleagues, and families — the kind of place you'll want to come back to and take on again.
