Tarn-et-Garonne

Tarn-et-Garonne is a department in the Occitanie region of southwestern France, created in 1808 and named after the Tarn and Garonne rivers that flow through it. The department is known for its agricultural production, particularly fruits like plums, apples, and melons, as well as its medieval bastide towns and Romanesque churches. Its prefecture is Montauban, a historic pink-brick city that serves as the administrative and economic center of the region.
