This large mural by Laurent Gascon was created in 2024 on a wall at 2801 rue Ontario Est, in the Ville-Marie borough of Montreal. It is a work of street art, and for many visitors the appeal lies in seeing a piece painted at a scale that fills a building face.
About the work
The mural was produced by the Société pour Promouvoir les Arts Gigantesques (SPAG) as part of the city's Programme d'art mural, first stream. Its creation was funded through the Entente sur le développement culturel de Montréal, an agreement between the City of Montreal and the Government of Quebec. The mural is also listed under the French name "Murale située au 2801, rue Ontario Est", which you may see on signs or city materials.
