Dotted with nature reserves, the Democratic Republic of Congo invites you to spend time in the fresh air and discover the different cultures of this great country. The National Museum of Lubumbashi, located to the west, exhibits archaeological works representative of Congolese cultures, while the one of the capital Kinshasa, presents the artistic history of the country. Hiking enthusiasts wishing to stay close to the Capital, will appreciate the Zongo Falls and Lake Ma Vallée, which also offers activities adapted to different audiences, such as archery, fishing or pedal boating. Still near Kinshasa, local animal life is in Lola Ya Bonobo, a reserve whose objective is to protect this endangered species. To observe more than 2000 plants, go to the Kisantu Botanical Garden, located in the southwest of the Democratic Republic of Congo. And to extend your stay to the north, it is the Garamba National Park, which will invite you to observe many elephants and giraffes of Kordofan, critically endangered. A little further south, visit Virunga National Park, home to a third of the mountain gorillas still alive. Adventurers can head to the top of the Nyiragongo volcano to contemplate the lava lake, whose flows are the fastest in the world.
