This mural by Chien Champion was created in 2023 at 2381 Beaubien Est, in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough of Montreal, Canada. It is a piece of street art that can be seen from the public street, making it an easy stop for anyone walking or cycling through the neighbourhood.
About the work
The mural was commissioned by Cinéma Beaubien as part of the City of Montreal's Programme d'art mural, second phase. The programme brings large-scale artworks to walls across the city, and this one reflects that initiative in a neighbourhood setting rather than a gallery.
Planning your visit
- Location: 2381 Beaubien Est, Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, Montreal
- Type of visit: A short, outdoor stop suited to a walk through the area
- More information: The City of Montreal's mural catalogue lists the artwork under its own page, where details about the piece are kept
Because the mural is on a building facade, it is best appreciated on foot, where you can stand back far enough to take in its scale. Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie is a residential and commercial area, so the mural pairs well with a wider stroll along Beaubien Est, where you can find local shops and cafés to visit before or after.
