This street-art mural by SETH, painted in 2023 at 5030 rue Jeanne-Mance in Montreal, is a good stop for visitors interested in the city's public art. It sits on a building wall in the street, so it can be seen as part of a walk through the neighbourhood rather than as a visit to an indoor venue.
About the work
The mural was created by the artist SETH in 2023. It was organized by SDC Laurier Ouest, the local business improvement district, under the city's Programme d'art mural (volet 1). The project was funded through the Entente sur le dรฉveloppement culturel de Montrรฉal, an agreement between the City of Montreal and the Government of Quebec that supports cultural development in the city.
Planning a visit
- Location: 5030 rue Jeanne-Mance, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
- Type of visit: an outdoor street-art stop, viewed from the street.
- More information: the City of Montreal publishes a detail page for the mural on its public-art pages at ville.montreal.qc.ca/murales/detail/306.
Because the mural is a public artwork on a street, it is well suited to a short, relaxed detour. Visitors who want to see more of Montreal's murals can combine this stop with other works in the surrounding area, and the city's public-art listings are a useful place to find them.
