Val-d'Oise
Val-d'Oise is a department in the Île-de-France region of north-central France, located northwest of Paris and created in 1968 from parts of the former Seine-et-Oise department. The department is known for its mix of urban areas, including the new town of Cergy-Pontoise, and rural landscapes featuring forests, rivers, and historic villages. It houses Charles de Gaulle Airport (partially) and is characterized by its role as both a suburban extension of Paris and a region preserving significant natural and cultural heritage, including numerous châteaux and the scenic Oise River valley.
