City Palace Jaipur

Un magnífico complejo palaciego que aún sirve como residencia de la familia real de Jaipur. Construido en el siglo XVIII, exhibe una mezcla de arquitectura Rajasthani y Mughal.

City Palace Jaipur is a palace complex in the Pink City of Jaipur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Its address is Tulsi Marg, Gangori Bazaar, J.D.A. Market, Jaipur 302002. The palace is also known by the names Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal and the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum.

Unlike a palace that has been turned entirely into a monument, this one still serves as the residence of the Jaipur royal family, so a visit means walking through a place that is still lived in. The complex was built in the 18th century and brings together Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, which shows in its courtyards, halls and decorative detail.

What a visit offers

  • A chance to see a royal residence that remains in use by the family.
  • Architecture that blends Rajasthani and Mughal design across the complex.
  • The museum associated with the palace, named after Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II.

Planning your trip

The palace sits in the old walled part of Jaipur, so it fits well into a walk through the surrounding bazaars and streets of the Pink City. For questions before you go, the palace can be reached by phone at +91-141-408-8888. Check details with the palace directly, as this guide does not list current opening times or ticket prices.
