To mark what would have been David Bowie's 80th birthday, a constellation of prominent Danish artists reunites at DR Koncerthuset to pay tribute to one of music history's most iconic and boundary-pushing figures. Bowie's restless artistic spirit — spanning glamrock, punk and new wave — shaped the soundtrack of millions of lives worldwide.
A decade ago, this same stellar ensemble came together for a brief, sold-out tribute tour. Now they return, driven by the same love for the songs and the same respect for Bowie's enduring legacy, ready once again to fill Koncertsalen with his music.
The evening features an impressive lineup of soloists: Steen Jørgensen, Kira Skov, Allan Vegenfeldt, Sebastian Wolff (Kellermensch), Bjørn Fjæstad (Baal), Dicte, Frederik Vedersø (The White Album) and Steffen Westmark (The Blue Van), all backed by the band BAAL.
The backing band BAAL comprises Henrik Melander on piano, keyboards and backing vocals; Morten Lundsgaard on guitar; Troels Skjærbæk on bass and backing vocals; and Kenni Andy Jørgensen on drums.
