"Lady Chatterley"

Lady Chatterley is a neoclassical narrative ballet by British choreographer Cathy Marston, inspired by D.H. Lawrence's long-censored novel. Set in post-World War I England, the work follows Constance Chatterley, who feels suffocated in a passionless marriage and finds an unexpected connection with Mellors, the estate's gamekeeper.

With finesse and humanity, Marston explores themes of bodily impulse, the longing for freedom, and the reclaiming of desire as a vital necessity, through dance that is both intimate and deeply sensitive.

The production is described as a ballet of rare emotional depth, examining a love that exists outside the norms of its time and society.

Performances take place at 14:00 and 20:00 from April 22 to 25, 2027, at Théâtre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts.
