Pico del Loto Verde

Montaña kárstica distintiva que se asemeja a una flor de loto verde, uno de los picos más fotografiados en el área de Yangshuo con excelentes rutas de escalada.

Green Lotus Peak, known in Chinese as Qinglian Feng or Bilian Peak, is a karst mountain in the Yulong River area of Yangshuo County, near Guilin in the Guangxi Autonomous Region of southern China. Its rounded, leaf-wrapped silhouette is said to resemble a green lotus flower, and it stands among the most photographed peaks in the Yangshuo landscape.

What to expect

The peak is best appreciated as part of the wider scenery of the Yulong River, where the limestone hills rise steeply from the fields and water. Visitors often come to photograph its distinctive shape, and the view changes with the light through the day, which suits a slow pace rather than a rushed stop.

For climbers and walkers

Green Lotus Peak is also known for its climbing routes, which make it a draw for those who come to Yangshuo for rock climbing. If you plan to climb, it is sensible to check current conditions and arrange guidance in advance.

Useful points to consider:

  • Bring water, sun protection and sturdy footwear, since karst terrain can be uneven.
  • Plan your visit around the light for photography, early or late in the day.
  • Combine the peak with a boat trip or a ride through the countryside along the river.

The surrounding Yangshuo area offers markets, riverside villages and other limestone hills, so the peak fits easily into a day or two of exploring. For up-to-date contact details, the listed telephone number is +86-773-877-7094.
