バハイ・ツィノイ博物館

フィリピン系中国人の歴史とフィリピン社会への貢献を紹介しています。移民、文化、コミュニティ生活に関する展示があります。

The Bahay Tsinoy Museum is a museum in Manila, Philippines, devoted to the history and contributions of Chinese-Filipinos to Philippine society. It is also known as the Museum of Chinese in Philippine Life.

The museum is housed within the Kaisa-Angelo King Heritage Center on Ongpin Street in Binondo, Manila. Binondo is one of the oldest Chinatowns in the world, so a visit here sits naturally within a walk through a neighbourhood shaped by generations of Chinese immigrant life.

What you will see

The exhibits follow the story of Chinese people in the Philippines and cover three main themes:

  • Immigration, including how and why people came to the islands
  • Culture, showing the traditions that Chinese-Filipinos have kept and adapted
  • Community life, focusing on the everyday organisations and neighbourhood ties that have held the community together

Planning your visit

This is a good stop for anyone curious about how Chinese-Filipinos have shaped Philippine society, whether you are interested in history, culture or the city's layered identity. Because the museum is in Binondo, you can combine it with exploring the surrounding streets, markets and food. For current visiting arrangements, you can call the museum on +63 2 8307 4429 before you go.
