アンナプルナI

標高8,091メートルで世界第10位の高峰で、困難な登山ルートで知られています。ネパールのAnnapurna山群の一部です。

Annapurna I is a mountain in Gandaki Province, in the Myagdi District of Nepal, rising to 8,091 meters. It is the tenth highest mountain in the world and forms part of the Annapurna massif, a range of peaks that dominates the landscape of north-central Nepal. The mountain is also known as Annapurna Main Peak, Annapurna Main, and, in translation, the Goddess of the Harvests.

What to expect

For most visitors, Annapurna I is seen rather than climbed. It is known for its demanding climbing routes, which are a matter for experienced mountaineers and not for casual walkers. Those who come to the area typically do so to look up at the massif, to take in its scale, and to experience the high Himalayan setting around it.

  • A major peak at the centre of the Annapurna massif
  • Set within the Annapurna Conservation Area
  • Known for its challenging climbing routes

Planning a visit

The mountain lies inside the Annapurna Conservation Area, so visitors should expect a mountain landscape and conditions that change with altitude and season. For general enquiries, the listed contact number is +977-1-4700818. Anyone thinking of a climb should plan well in advance, with a guide and suitable preparation, given the difficulty of the routes.
